NSAID solubilisation promotes morphological transitions in Triton X-114 surfactant micelles

چکیده

The structural properties of micelles formed by the non-ionic surfactant, Triton X-114 (TX-114), were investigated using all-atom molecular dynamics (MD) simulations. Additionally, we effect solubilisation sodium salts two nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, ibuprofen and indomethacin, upon TX-114 micelles. micelle in absence drugs has an aspherical shape. We find that as continues to solubilise drug molecules, its shape becomes even more elongated. solubilised molecules are observed take orientations within core allows their carboxyl groups remain hydrated surrounding interfacial solvent. Also increased aggregation indomethacin via π-π stacking chlorobenzene group leads destabilisation micelle. In ibuprofen-loaded micelle, where do not aggregate same degree, drug-loaded remains stable. These results provide a mechanistic description how NSAIDs drives morphological changes show physico-chemical both surfactants can play significant role stabilisation delivery vehicles.

Spectroscopic Studies of Triton X-114 and Quercetin/Rutin Solutions

Flavonoids belong to a large group of natural polyphenol compounds and have a broad spectrum of pharmacological activities. Many natural flavonoids are characterized by extremely low solubility in aqueous media and body fluids. To improve the solubility of drugs, various methods were developed and are used in pharmaceutics: solubilization, preparation of solid disperse systems with soluble and ...

Spectrophotometric determination of mercury in water samples after cloud point extraction using nonionic surfactant Triton X-114.

A cloud point extraction process using the nonionic surfactant Triton X-114 for extracting mercury from aqueous solutions was investigated. The method is based on the complexation reaction of Hg(II) with Thio-Michler's Ketone (TMK) and micelle-mediated extraction of the complex. The optimal extraction and reaction conditions (e.g., pH, reagent concentration, effect of time) were studied, and th...

Phase separation of integral membrane proteins in Triton X-114 solution.

A solution of the nonionic detergent Triton X-114 is homogeneous at 0 degrees C but separates in an aqueous phase and a detergent phase above 20 degrees C. The extent of this detergent phase separation increases with the temperature and is sensitive to the presence of other surfactants. The partition of proteins during phase separation in solutions of Triton X-114 is investigated. Hydrophilic p...
